Bournemouth Championship Show
The sun was shining with a nice breeze which made it ideal conditions for the dogs. Can’t believe what a fantastic week I have had with the two girls. Once again Ellie won Minor Puppy but went further winning Best Puppy in Breed and Gundog Puppy group 3. (Thanks to April Murray for her sympathetic handling of Ellie in the unbeaten line up). Willow won a very hotly contested Limit class and shortlisted in the last 4 for the bitch cc. Cocker judge was Andrew Jones (Shenmore) and the group judge was Mr C Mackay. Video of Willow in Limit
Paignton Championship Show
What a dreadful day weather wise rained hard ALL day – cockers were being judged in the main hall so that was great! Ellie won Minor Puppy and Willow won a fabulous Limit class under breed specialist judge Mrs Sue Telford (Courtmaster) – thanks again Lin for handling Ellie in the challenge so sympathetically
National Gundog Championship Show
I had a fantastic day at National gundog with my two girls – Dykere Lavender Blue for Manchela (Ellie) and Manchela Wild Willow (Willow). Ellie won Minor Puppy and Willow won Limit and res cc under breed specialist judge Carol Welch – my thanks go to Lin Parker for handling Ellie in the challange at such short notice
Wiveliscombe Limited Show
A very well run first show for this society with a great atmosphere – the weather was kind to us all day and the grass rings were beautifully mown. I only entered Ellie today for some more practise – first time on grass. She showed so well and won Minor Puppy, Gundog Puppy group and Best Puppy in Show under the well known and respected judge Mr Glyn Griffiths
The Cocker Spaniel Club Championship Show
Willow and the new kid on the block Ellie – Dykere Lavender Blue for Manchela (Sire: GB Sh Ch/SU (u) CH Manchela Born to be Wild JW, Dam: Dykere Alice Blue Lace) ventured up to Malvern to the prestigious Cocker Spaniel Club Championship 110th aniversary show which attracted well over 400 entries. I was delighted when Willow won AOC Open which was a quality class containing two champions and other cc winners – she later was shortlisted in the last six for the bitch cc one of only two particolours.
This was Ellie’s first show and I was delighted that her breeder Anne Dicker and her daughter Sarah made the journey to watch her strut her stuff. Ellie was awarded 2nd in Minor Puppy out of 18 entries – result! Thank you to the bitch judge Sue Kettle (Lujesa) for making this a memorable day!
My sincere congratulations must go to Pat and Elaine Whitehead whose Ryallcourt Moloh won her first cc and BIS (another of Samuel’s daughters)
